\u201cThe fact that SAFE has complete control over the citrus and table grapes we grow, pack and export \u2013 from our orchards to our clients\u2019 warehouses \u2013 makes our export offering particularly attractive,\u201d says Wibo van den Ende, marketing and sales director at SAFE.<\/p>\n

\"\"\u201cOur export clients know the fruit they\u2019re buying is not \u2018anonymous\u2019. They receive data of their fruit\u2019s journey, and know it\u2019s been produced, packed and distributed specifically with them in mind.\u201d<\/p>\n

Van den Ende is currently in Europe where he is training and preparing the sales team at SAFE\u2019s European total-produce distribution and marketing partner, Haluco, for the upcoming season. (SAFE distributes fruit via Haluco, a total-produce company, as well as directly to clients in Europe.)<\/p>\n

\u201cAs we look ahead to the new grape season \u2013 confirming ongoing grape programmes \u2013 and we evaluate our current citrus programmes, it\u2019s an excellent time to connect with our export clients in The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, Scandinavia and the United Kingdom,\u201d he says. These are mostly service providers for specific supermarket chains and catering companies.<\/p>\n

\"\"Another plus that boosts SAFE\u2019s export offering is the fact that it is accredited and complies with global and local sustainability, health, safety and employment benchmarks – such as Global G.A.P, GRASP, BRC Global Standards, Fairtrade and SIZA (Sustainability Initiative of SA).<\/p>\n
